Position Yourself for Victory

2 Chronicles 20:17

"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still and see the salvation of the Lord with, O Judah and Jerusalem: Fear not, nor be dismayed: tomorrow go out against them for the Lord will be with you."

Hallelujah to God for these great words of promise. We serve the God that is in the business of combat. How wonderful it is child of God to know that inspite of the seen and the unseen battles going on in your life, the Almighty, all powerful and the all knowing God is telling you to relax that he's got your back!!

Our devional text is a direct message that was delivered to the Isrealites when a great multitude gathered against King Jehoshaphat and the people of God for battle. King Jehoshaphat just like any body was moved with fear, however he quickly retraced from fear and chose instead to seek the LORD and it was at this time that God spoke concerning the issue. You may be out there right now and its like the whole world is closing in on you, nothing seems to be walking out and it looks like a great multitude has encamped against you and every time you look it seems there is no way out; well I have good news for you Luke 18:27 says 'And he said, " The things which are impossible with men are possible with God". Imagine a child who had been bullied at school soon found out that a certain big guy had decided to take up his fight and beat up the bullies for him, believe me the child will jump at the offer with joy and great confidence.

Dearly beloved, God is more powerful than all your enemies combined, the Bible encourages us in Deuteronomy 31:6 to be strong and of good courage. God has not brought you this far to abandon you, all he requires of you is to position yourself in faith and not in fear. How can | do that you may ask? Well first, see God being bigger than any situation you're in and begin to magnify him more than the situation. When you do this, your focus is removed from the problem and positioned on the power of God. It is at the point where your focus is placed on the power of God that he steps into your situation. Remember you do not need to fight in this particular case, God will do the fighting while you remain steadfast and unmovable just praising him. I KNOW VICTORY IS SURE!!
