Pastor Victory Violet Dawson is the founder of Shepherd of Restoration Ministry [SRM] known as " Gates of Providence" located in Toronto Canada, she was born and raised in Nigeria to Mr. & Mrs. Dawson Ediagbonya. In 1994 at age twenty-seven she migrated to Canada for ministerial work. She gave her life to the Lord Jesus Christ over 26 years ago and had since served the Lord faithfully by God's grace from children’s teacher, youth president, choir mistress, bible study teacher, Sunday school teacher to answering the call of God as a pastor/teacher in 2001. Before leaving Nigeria Victory Dawson founded the Maranatha Counseling Ministry which was a nesting place for parents with troubled youths, singles and young adults; a ministry which has become one of the dimensions of Shepherd of Restoration Ministry. 

                                                                                

Pastor Victory has served under several ministries like Christ Apostle Church of God Mission Int’l both in Nigeria and in Canada and New Covenant Gospel Church Nigeria. On arrival to Canada, from 1994- 1996 she served in Downtown Church Ottawa under Pastor Eric. From 1996-1999 she served as the women group bible study teacher, choir member and intercessor in Christian Centre Church under Rev. Billy Richard. From 1999 she joined the then Faith Assemblies Mission Int’l (FAMI) by the leading of the Holy Spirit and was later ordained a pastor in 2001. While in FAMI  she served as the church administrator for 4 years, bible study teacher, Sunday School teacher, Christian education departmental head for 8 years, and she also acted as the international mission pastor for 2 years under Rev. Duke Oliogu and through the grace in Christ Jesus her ministry blossomed and impacted so many lives. In 2010, she received an injunction from the Lord to go serve at Crown of Glory Gospel Church located in Toronto which became her home church for seven years under the leadership of pastor Testimony Eriamiatoe. Pastor Victory received a verbal mandate from God on July 4th, 2017 to go " build not just leaders but skillful men like the sons of Issachar who knows time and seasons "  a mandate traced to 1 Chronicles 12:32 with various confirmations through dreams, revelations and prophetic words and impartation. Her compassionate heart for the hurting and lost soul is her driving force and passion for God's work. She is a voice of encouragement to all and sundry whose prevalent situation clouds the grace of God in their lives; and having gone through various schools of afflictions herself, she can boldly say ‘I know my redeemer lives’.

 

Pastor Victory holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology of gender and family, diploma in Social Service Work, certificate in urban ministries, and other several ministerial certifications. She also held ordination certificate with Canadian Association of Ministries and Pastors (CAMP) for four years and presently holds Ordination certificate with Gilgal Christian Community.  Pastor Victory is not only a sound preacher, teacher of God’s Word, and a mentor to many, she is also a dedicated mother of two wonderful SONS who are also serving the Lord!
